LAFARGE Zambia Plc has said it will continue improving production processes to remain the market leader in the cement industry in Zambia.
Chief executive officer Emmanuel Rigaux said Lafarge was still the market leader in the cement industry in the country, hence efforts to continue providing quality services to customers.
Mr Riguax said despite the emergence of other players in the sector, the company had not recorded any loss of business with regard to pricing of the commodity.
Mr Rigaux said in an interview in Ndola that the company had remained competitive and had maintained its market share of cement.
He said Lafarge would continue being innovative and that it had started exporting its product to the Democratic Republic of Congo where there was growing demand for cement using the railway line.
