By HELEN ZULU –
ABOUT 30 Zambian business executives are expected to attend the Indian trade show slated for February 2016.
The Saurashtra Vepar Udyog Mahamandal (SVUM) 2016 International Trade Show, is aimed at providing an opportunity for interactions, preliminary discussions on trade exchange and technology transfer on agriculture.
ELIF Business Solutions Limited chief executive officer Edwin Zulu said the company was looking for over 30 Zambian businesses to attend the 2016 International Trade Show at Rajkot in India.
He said the event was critical as it provides an opportunity for Zambia to tap into the Indian Technology as this was important to the national economic diversification efforts that the country was currently looking at.
Mr Zulu said in an interview in Lusaka yesterday that, this was an opportunity for the business community at both ends to explore the local market for African demand in their aim of value addition of agro products, mechanising and modernisation of agricultural processes.
He said the show was designed for the development of bilateral trade and explores the technology transfer and investment opportunities.
Mr Zulu also said the trade show would help to identify, develop and formalise India and Zambian businesses as well as, investment partnerships.
