THE National House of Prayer advisory board will be going to various parts of the country to fundraise for the construction of the Tabernacle.
National House of Prayer advisory board chairperson Joshua Banda said members would go to different parts of the country to give citizens a chance to be part of the construction through various fundraising ventures.
Bishop Banda said this on Tuesday during the commemoration of 24 years of Zambia’s declaration as a Christian nation.
He said the Church valued the construction of the House of Prayer as it was a significant follow-up to the declaration of Zambia as a Christian nation.
“Our spiritual understanding as a Church is that the National House of Prayer is not being built as a competition against churches in this country.
“There is no way we can allow that, we are the Church and are ordained to carry out God’s services and that mandate cannot be taken away,” Bishop Banda said.
He said the National House of Prayer was the least that a leader could do to propel the nation to see a visible symbol for its commitment to unity and peace.
The House of Prayer would transcend all political legacies and serve the country in years to come.
Bishop Banda said the Government had set up an advisory board and two committees, namely technical and fundraising for construction of the House of Prayer.
