PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has declared today as a half working day for public service workers.
This is to enable them to attend the ceremony at which he will assent to the Constitution Amendment Bill.
According to a statement issued by Secretary to the Cabinet, Roland Msiska yesterday, President Lungu is expected to assent to the Constitution Amendment Bill today at 14:00 hours at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
All civil servants will, thus, work up to 12:00 hours to allow them attend the ceremony.
“The President further wishes to encourage the general public to attend the above event, which will be open to the public,” Dr Msiska said.
