Kachinga demands seriousness

SHEPOLOPOLO coach Albert Kachinga has called for seriousness and hard work from his players as they begin preparations for the 2016 Orange African Women Championship (AWC) to be held in Cameroun.
Kachinga said seriousness and dedication to duty was paramount to his charges if they are to succeed in the qualifiers to the continental championship.
Kachinga said he wanted to see hard work from his players when they play the first leg of qualifiers on March 6 against Namibia.
“I must remind all the players summoned that, hard work and serious dedication to duty is the only secret to success,” he said.
Kachinga said Zambian people expected the team to do well and as such, expected maximum attention during the time of preparations and amplified on the need to uphold if the team was to succeed in the championship.
Last year,  Zambia made her maiden appearance at the African Women Championship which was held in Namibia and the coach remains hopeful of making a second consecutive presence at Africa’s biggest women’s football showpiece.
If Zambia gets passed Namibia, they would either face a common rival in either Tanzania or Zimbabwe in the second round.
The coach has summoned four goalkeepers in Wendy Kunda from Moomba Queens, Chiko Nkhoma from Arrows, Catherine Musonda from Zesco Ndola and Hazel Nali from Nchanga.
Defenders in the team are Margret Belemu and  Emelda Musonda from Red Arrows , Anita Mulenga and Annie Kibanji  from  Green Buffaloes, Lweendo  Chisamu and Martha Tembo from Chibolya Queens, Jane Chalwe and Rachel Nachula from Zesco as well as Grace Zulu.
The midfielders’ include Milika Limwanya from Break Through, Esther Mukwasa from Moomba Queens, Mary Wilombe from Arrows, Ireen Lungu from Green Buffaloes and Barbara Banda from Bauleni Sporting Academy (BUSA).
Other are Chileshe Rhoda and Penelope Mulubwa from Green Buffaloes and Mary Mwakapila from Zesco.
The strikers include Helen Mubanga from BUSA, Esther Mushota from Moomba Queens, Noria Sosala from Indeni, Agnes Musase from Green Buffaloes, Grace Chanda from Zesco and Misozi Zulu from National Assembly.
