FAIRY Bottling Zambia Limited (FB), the producers of Aquasavana pure mineral water, has created about 400 jobs since the introduction of a wide range of superior carbonated beverages in the country.
In addition to Aquasavana, the company last year introduced a wide range of superior carbonated beverages to cater for all kinds of tastes such as American Cola, Bubble up, planet juices and Reactor energy drink.
FB managing director Mohamed EL Sahili said the company had created about 400 jobs since the introduction of the wide range of carbonated beverages in Zambia.
“We have created about 400 jobs since we introduced a wide range of carbonated beverages.
“Our new product line has received overwhelming response from the general public,” he said.
Dr Sahili said the company was aiming at increasing the number of people employed at the plant to over 600 in the second phase.
He said the company was using the most advanced machinery in the world and the best expertise in each field, which were the key factors that had shaped the success path of the company.
The company, he said, was committed to supporting women organisations in the country through the women empowerment initiative which was launched last year.
Dr Sahili said the company believed that empowering women was essential for the achievement of sustainable development in the country.
“Women have the potential to change their own economic status as well as that of the communities and countries if well empowered.
“To this effect, we are committed to ensuring that women are empowered through the support of different women organisations,” he said.
