By SANDRA MWILA –

FOUR-TIME winner of the Mr Zambia Body Building contest, Sylvester Mwila has said he does not regret telling the media that the prize money for the 2013 competition was trash.

Mwila said he stood by his sentiments because the K5,000 top prize was not a fair deal compared to what he put into his preparations.

He said everyone was free to give their opinions on the matter because it was their right to comment on whatever they wanted to talk about.

“I don’t regret telling the media the truth because the prize money was not a fair deal as compared to the training that I put in for the competition,” he said.

Mwila said despite some people saying he was indisciplined, what he told the media was true.

“I will not say much on this matter, all I can say is that they can call me an indisciplined person or anything they want because all I did was right,” he said.

Mwila said he was still waiting to face the Zambia Body Building and Fitness Federation (ZBBFF) disciplinary committee who were yet to officially communicate to him on the matter.

He said he loved his body building career and ruled out ever quitting participating in the Mr Zambia.

The Kabwata body builder said the 2013 contest was not his last attempt and that he was proud of what he had achieved so far.

After defending the Mr Zambia title last weekend, Mwila lashed out at ZBBFF, saying the federation needed to be serious with the organisation of the competition and described the 2013 prize money as trash.

And ZBBFF general secretary, Lee Mukupa said Mwila’s matter would be tabled before the disciplinary committee this week.
