MooreBy SHAMAOMA MUSONDA –

DAYNE Moore’s poor run at the Sunshine Tour has continued.
Just after the Ndola-based golfer missed the cut in the Dimension Data tournament, he added another poor run by hitting a 15-over-par to again miss the cut in the ongoing Eye of Africa PGA Championship in South Africa.
In this tournament playing at the Eye of Africa Signature Golf Estate, Moore could not believe how poor his first round was as he brought home a miserable 10-over-par 82.
And even after improving on the second day where he scored five-over-par 77, the combined 15-over-par 159 was way too much for a tournament whose cut had been set at par 144.
Meanwhile, the other Zambian at the tournament, Madalitso Muthiya has kept pushing and would be going into today’s final round with a six-under-par 210 score after three rounds.
In yesterday’s round, which he entered with a five-under-par, Muthiya had two birdies but that was blighted by another pair of bogeys after the first nine holes.
He started the back nine with a bogey, but recovered immediately with two straight birdies on the 11th and 12th holes before four consecutive level pars on the subsequent holes.
With the last two hole ahead of him, Muthiya first played a birdie on the 17th and then dropped a shot on the last to ensure he gained one more shot in the third round, and would be hoping for a better fourth round today.
He would actually be hopping for Round-Two to repeat itself where he had a five-under-par on a day he sank six birdies and one bogey.
