Arrows 5 Buffaloes 0
RED Arrows beat bitter rivals Green Buffaloes to retain their Nchanga 10’s title during the rugby tournament played in Chingola at the weekend.
Arrows won the final thanks to a try by Kabwe Musonda which Terry Kaushiku failed to convert but that mattered less as the airmen sealed victory to walk away with a trophy and K5, 000 while Buffaloes got K3, 000 for their efforts.
To reach to the final, Arrows beat stubborn Kitwe Playing Fields (KPF) 10-5 in the semi-final after Edward Mumba and Vincent Nkole scored a try each but surprisingly  Kaushiku was having a bad day as he failed to make the conversion.
KPF scored a try through Ackim Mushota which Fine Chikumbi sadly failed to convert.
In the other semi- final, Buffaloes silenced ‘Men At Work’ Diggers with a 12-5 win after tries from Stanley Kalasa and Larry Kaushiku secured victory for the ground forces despite Kaushiku making only one conversion.
Diggers replied through a try by Brian Mbalwa who failed to convert the conversion.
Meanwhile, Green Eagles and Mufulira shared the K1500 prize money in the plate final after the two failed to win the match before darkness took root and the match was stopped due to poor lightening.
Eagles saw off Chibuluma 14-5 in the semi final while Mufulira dispatched Nkwazi 12-0 in the other tie.
