TOTAL Zambia has embarked on an expansion programme with the construction of four to six petroleum service stations countrywide every year.
The energy company is also looking for other investment opportunities other than the provision of petroleum products.
Managing director, Damien Ricour-Dumas said in an interview in Ndola that the energy company was in a growth mood.
He said Total would this year open a new service station in Ndola and Kitwe districts as well as in areas to be identified in Northern and North-Western provinces.
“Our intention is to open four to six service stations every year.
“We are building one in Ndola in Hillcrest area this year. We are looking at opening one in Kitwe as well as in Northern and North-Western provinces, he said.
He added: “We are growing in the country and recently opened a service station in Kapiri Mposhi and one in Kalumbila.”
He said new branding would gradually be rolled out to service stations across the country.
Mr Ricour- Dumas said that Total had in the last three years raised its investment projects and had created employment for the locals.
Total has been in Zambia for over 65 years now.
