CHIPOLOPOLO towering defender Stopilla Sunzu led the way for Chipolopolo stars’ performance at the weekend as he  rose the highest to nod home for his French Ligue-1 side Lille who subdued Nantes 3-0.
Sunzu who got a rare start for Lille made the most of the opportunity by extending the lead to 2-0 from a set piece after Ederzito Lopez had scored the opener and then added a third.
That was the fifth goal for the Zambian defender in Ligue- 1 after scoring four times for now relegated Sochaux FC where he had earlier played last season.
Elsewhere, red hot striker Winston Kalengo added one more to his tally at AC Leopards as he took his goal count to 11 in Congo Brazzaville  in the 2-0 victory over La Mancha.
The Zambian forward boasts of hitting the net 15 times in all competitions though Leopards are second on the log.
Down south, Mpumalanga Aces skipper, Collins Mbesuma scored from the spot as Aces progressed to the quarterfinal of the Nedbank Cup via a 2-0 win over Maritzburg United before he made way for countryman
Mukuka Mulenga in the last 14 minutes of the game.
In the Zimbabwe Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, Obbie Chirwa scored the winning goal for FC Platinum at Mandaya Stadium as his side beat Tsholotsho FC 2-1.
Striker James Chamanga played in Liaoning Whowin’s 1-1 draw in the Chinese Super League game against Henan Jianye.
