DOING business in Zambia would be difficult without the extended channels of communication which the media provides, MTN Zambia has said.
Company chief executive officer Charles Molapisi said it is important to remain accessible to the media so that the deserving audiences are made aware of market factors to make informed decisions.
“Business will be difficult without the extended channels of communication provided by the media. The two way stream that the media offers both as a consumer protector and business supporter is among the main variables in corporate strategy of many organisations which forms the back-bone of the business development efforts,” he said.
Mr Molapisi said this would in turn promote honesty, reliability and customer focused ways of doing business for many enterprises giving rise to integrity among the corporate citizenry.
He said this to mark the commemoration of the World Press Freedom (WPF) Day whose theme is, “Access to Information and Fundamental Freedoms – This is Your Right”.
This is contained in a statement issued by manager communications Mwamba Siame and made available to Times of Zambia in Lusaka yesterday.
MTN Zambia praised the media fraternity for its hard work, determination and professionalism in the
course of duty in Zambia.
The media should be accessible to enable deserving audiences be made aware of market factors to make informed decisions.
MTN Zambia is open to collaboration with the media in pursuing developments in the telecommunications industry which is one of the key drivers of most businesses in Zambia.
