SHYMANBy CHIPEMA SAKAIMBO –

ZAMBIAN artiste Michelo Siavwapa popularly known as Shy man Shaizo, has joined the race of peace preaching by his fellow artistes.
In his latest track titled Umaona Chani produced by Ben Blazer, Shy man condemns ritual killings, political violence and hate speech by political parties.
‘Umaona Chani’ means What Do You See?  And in the lyrics the artiste calls on all political party leaders to urge their cadres to desist from any form of violence as it leads to disturbances in the country.
Shy man explains that he believes music was not only for entertainment but could be used as the ideal tool for reaching out to people during the campaign period.
The Fendela Fenduze coiner explains that he was glad that Zambia had not experienced any ritual killings in the past three months and hoped that this would continue.
But he noted that there was no total peace in the country due to the violence being experienced in some parts of the country.
“As artistes, we are very influential so let’s use our talents to preach peace so that we stop violent attacks during and after the elections. We want to see free and fair elections this year,” Shyman says.
