2 die of suffocation in Lusaka

TWO people in Lusaka have died of suspected suffocation in a bar in which they were sleeping with a brazier on.
The duo identified as Davies Simuchinga 20 and Lawrence, whose other name was unknown by press time, died inside a named Bar in George Township where they worked as tenders.
The incident, which was reported to Police by bar proprietor Thomas Mumba of Soweto Township, occurred in the early hours of Saturday and the bodies of the deceased were discovered yesterday around 07 hours.
This is according to a statement released in Lusaka yesterday by Police deputy spokesperson Rae Hamoonga.
“Thomas Mumba reported that two of his workers; Lawrence, other name not known and Davies Simuchinga aged 20 years, died of suspected suffocation inside his bar when they slept leaving they left a brazier on.
“The bodies of the deceased are lying in the University Teaching Hospital mortuary,” Mr Hamoonga said.
