Printing of referendum ballot papers completed

THE printing of  referendum ballot papers and referendum posters has been completed at Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing Company in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) senior public relations officer, Sylvia Bwalya, announced the completion of the printing of referendum ballot papers and posters yesterday.
“Printing of the referendum ballot papers is completed. We are at 100 per cent and the printing of the referendum posters is also complete,” she told journalists in Dubai.
Ms Bwalya said the printing of mayoral and council chairperson ballot papers, which started yesterday, was also progressing well and was at 17 per cent by yesterday.
She further said stakeholders had continued to express satisfaction at the process and quality assurance and control measures which Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing Company had put in place.
Meanwhile, ECZ Commissioner Christopher Mushabati has commended Zambian journalists in Dubai for constantly informing people in Zambian about the on-going ballot paper printing process.
Justice Mushabati said the journalists were doing a commendable job of keeping Zambians informed about the progress made in the printing process.
