NKANA Squash Club lifted the four-club invitational tournament held over the Heroes and Unity Day Holiday in Kitwe.
The hosts won the round robin tournament in both the men and women categories that attracted Kabwe, Nchanga and Kansanshi.
Nkana finished first and second in the men’s categories with Kachinga Kabwe topping the log on eight points while Preston Mhango was second with seven points.
Nomious Mwewa of Nkana finished third and Eric Muma from Nchanga was fourth on six and four points respectively.
On his way to finishing first, Kabwe beat Muma 3-2 and Mhango 3-1 but lost 3-2 to Mwewa. Mhango recorded 3-1 and 3-0 wins over Muma and Mwewa respectively.
In the women’s category, Nkana also dominated the top four.
Namwene Muchaile of Nkana finished top on nine points, her compatriot Monica Chimese was runner-up on six points, in third position was Esther Mambwe of Ndola club on five points while, Natasha Chimese finished with four points.
Muchaile finished the women’s section with a 100 per cent run beating Natasha Chimese 3-2, Mambwe 3-1 and Monica Chimese 3-0.
Monica Chimese’s route to finishing second saw her defeat Mambwe 3-0 and Natasha Chimese by the same margin.
