CHAMBER of Mines chief executive officer Maureen Jangulo Dlamini (right) has died. She was 54.
Ms Dlamini died on Sunday in  hospital in Lusaka around 20:00 hours after an illness.
Chamber of Mines spokesperson Talent Nga’ndwe confirmed the death in an interview yesterday.
“The funeral is at 159, Lisutu Road in Roma in Lusaka,” Mr Ng’andwe said.
Ms Dlamini joined the Chamber of Mines in 2014.
She had over 10 years experience in the financial services sector at an executive level.
Ms Dlamini’s past work experience included being the executive head of corporate affairs at Lion of Africa Insurance Company Limited and executive member of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange responsible for Investor Education and Africa Board.
She was also chief executive officer of Zambezi Airlines.
Ms Dlamini served on the boards of Pro-Flight Zambia Limited and Nyiombo Investments Limited.
