By SAM PHIRI –
YOUNG African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has called on the Government to honour first Republican president Kenneth Kaunda with a statue that will befit his legacy.
YALI executive director Andrew Ntewewe described Dr Kaunda as an outstanding man that Zambia needed to appreciate and pass on his great deeds to the future generations.
Mr Ntewewe said that both houses that Dr Kaunda lived in, in Matero and Chilenge townships, were in a dilapidated state and that there was need to erect a statue that would add value.
