Two die in Isoka road accident

TWO people have died on the spot, while five others have been injured in a road traffic accident in Isoka.
Muchinga Police chief, Godwin Phiri said the vehicle overturned due to excessive speeding.
Mr Phiri said in an interview yesterday, the accident happened  around 11:00hours on the Great North Road yesterday.
“There were seven passengers, the vehicle, a Toyota Noah, overturned following a trye burst,” he said.
He identified the driver as Derrick Simwawa, 42, of Isoka. The vehicle had registration number, AIB 3114.
He said two passengers he identified as Sungwe Simuchimba and Lazarus Siame, both aged 30, died on the spot, while the driver sustained chest pains.
He said the bodies were at the Isoka mortuary, while the injured were receiving treatment at the same hospital.
In another development  a 28-year-old man of Mpika sustained injuries after an unknown motorist hit him, while riding a bicycle.
Mr Phiri said the accident happened on Saturday when an unknown motorist who was driving an unidentified vehicle, hit Moses Chilufya.
