Zesco 2-1 Napsa
FACKSON Kapumbu scored a wonder goal to help Zesco United bounce back to the summit of the MTN/FAZ Super League after beating Napsa Stars at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Kapumbu shot from his own half and caught Rabson Mcheleng’anga off his line and the goalkeeper was embarrassingly beaten despite attempting to get back in goal to save the goal in the 38th minute.
Kapumbu then turned provider in the 50th minute after his clearing header set up Maybin Kalengo who outpaced two defenders before firing in the second for Zesco.
Napsa pulled one back in the 55th minute through Mangani Phiri who beat debutant Dieudonne Ntihabezwa from a Simon Nkata assist but despite pilling pressure on Zesco in the dying minutes of the game, the hosts held on to condemn their visitors to a fourth straight defeat.
Zesco moved to 44 points while Napsa who dropped to seventh on the table have 37 points.
Buildcon 3-1 Nkwazi
BUILDCON scored two goals in added time to come from a goal down to beat Nkwazi who had assistant coach Dennis Banda sent off in the dying minutes of the game in the early kickoff at Levy Mwanawasa.
Lameck Banda put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute heading in a freekick but 11 minutes into the second half Geofrey Sserunkuma levelled the scores with an acrobatic shot and just when the match looked like it was heading for a stalemate, substitute Soulaimon Aladameji headed in a cross.
A minute later Aladameji was brought down in the box and Richmond Adongo stepped up to convert the spot kick to seal the victory.
Buildcon climbed to ninth on the table with 34 points while Nkwazi dropped to 11th position on 32 points.
NKana 1-3 Buffaloes
GREEN Buffaloes pummeled Nkana yesterday to hand the hosts their second home loss of the season, their eighth overall, as the Zambia Army side went up to second on the table, Kalumiana Kalumiana writes from Nkana Stadium.
Nkana’s first home loss came on June 17 when Power Dynamos beat them 2-1 in coach Beston Chambeshi’s first game in charge.
Yesterday, Buffaloes went three goals up before Nkana responded and it was Mike Katiba who headed in the opener in the 19th minute.
Three minutes later, Friday Samu slotted in on the rebound after Nkana goalie Moses Mapulanga parried Diamond Chikwewe’s free kick into his path with Chikwekwe getting in on the act in the 59th minute before Walter Bwalya headed in Nkana’s consolation in the 63rd minute.
Buffaloes moved a place up to second with 43 points, one off new leaders Zesco while Nkana stayed fifth on 38 points and have Zanaco, Napsa Stars and Lumwana Radiants just a point off.
Arrows 2-0 Dynamos
TEN man Red Arrows beat Lusaka Dynamos in the Lusaka derby at Nkoloma Stadium through a Lubinda Mundia brace.
Dynamos 2-0 loss relegated them to third place with 42 points after while Arrows moved to 10th position with 33 points.
Mundia gave Arrows the lead in the 10th minute firing a shot from outside box from a Bruce Musamkanya cross.
Then Patrick Ngoma was sent off in the 30th minute after accumulating ttwo yellow cards but in the 78minute Mundia completed his brace after he tapped in a rebound from Joseph Zimba.
A minute later Dynamos was also reduced to 10-man when Clatous Chama was sent off with a straight red for foul on George Simbayambaya.
Forest 0-0 Power
At Trade Fair Grounds in Ndola, visiting Power Dynamos edged 10-man Forest Rangers to maintain their fourth position on the log reports RONALD CHAWE.
After the first half stalemate, Larry Bwalya put Power in front in 54th minute, just a minute after Forest playmaker Patrick Ilongo had been shown a straight red card before man of the moment Alex Ng’onga doubled the advantage for the Kitwe based team  in the 70th minute to dash Forest’s hopes of coming back into the game.
The Danny Kabwe tutored side moved to 41points while Forest remained stuck at 31 points and 12th on the table.
Blades 1-1 Lumwana
In Chililabombwe at Konkola stadium, Lumwana Radiants came from a goal down to salvage a point against troubled Konkola Blades.
Albert Ngosa had given the host an early lead in the fourth minute before Josphat Kasusu equalized in the 17 the minute for the two teams to go at the interval 1-all.
After the break, both teams failed to find the winner despite creating numerous scoring opportunities.
Blades 15th on the table have 22points while Zeddy Saileti coached Lumwana are eighth on the table with 37 points at par with seventh Napsa Stars, who lost 2-1 to Zesco and sixth Zanaco, who  drew 1-1 with Nakambala Leopards.
Nakamabala 1-1 Zanaco
Draw specialists Zanaco left it late to claim a share of spoils away to Nakambala Leorpards after the host took the lead after the hour through Dominic Mulenshi.
Seven minutes to the whistle under -20 starlet Boyd Musonda restored parity for the champions and  a point to see them sixth with 37 points while Nakambala are 14th.
Eagle 3-0 Warriors
Tapson Kaseba destroyed Kabwe Warriors in Choma banking a hat-trick for Green Eagles to compound Elijah Chikwanda woes after he registered his first win on Wednesday.
Kaseba scored in the 20th minute to put the Eagles ahead and doubled the lead six minutes into the second half and put cherry on top in added time to complete his hat-trick to take the match ball home.
Eagle are 13th with 29 points while Warrior are 17th in relation waters.
Nchanga 2-1 City
Nchanga Rangers came from a goal down to beat bottom of the table City of Lusaka at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.
Abdul Ganiu gave City the lead in the 27th minute but Rangers came in breathing fire in the second half and their efforts paid off 10 minutes to time as they restored parity.
As City were  seemingly satisfied with  snatching a point, Jimmy Nakena had other plans and made sure that  Rangers  collected the  three points, when he found the back of the net in 86th minute that sent his team 15th on the table with 22points same with
their neighbours Konkola Blades, who drew 1-all with Lumwana.
Mighty 1-0 Nakonde
At Shinde Stadium in Mufulira, Mathews Macha scored the only goal of the match in the 26th minute for Wanderers who beat Real Nakonde.
It was a sweet revenge for Wanderers who lost the first encounter in Nakonde. Wanderers have 20 points, five points better than Real Nakonde but both are still in the relegation zone.
