BESTON Chambeshi believes his side will their hold own in a challenging November in which they will have to finish their league obligations.
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) ordered that all league games be wrapped up by November 22 to make way for Zambia’s hosting of the 2017 COSAFA Under-20 Cup from December 6-16.
Nkana are battling for a top four finish and are five points behind leaders Zanaco with six matches remaining.
“Each and every team is fighting to be in the top four but all that we need is to take each game with a serious approach and the most important thing is to look at the next game. We are still in the race,” Chambeshi said.
Nkana beat Nkwazi 2-0 on Wednesday at home in Kitwe to jump two places from sixth to fourth on the MTN/FAZ Super League table.
“We have depth in the team and will try and protect the players. We want to give each and every player a chance. I know it won’t be easy but we will see how we will handle that challenge,” he said.
Nkana fixture list will initially see them play three mid-table sides starting with Buildcon away, Forest Rangers at home before heading to Lusaka to visit Red Arrows. The Kitwe side will return to Kitwe to host Green Eagles before visiting ailing old foes Mufulira Wanderers.
They will close their league campaign in Kitwe against Konkola Blades who are currently third from bottom of the relegation zone.
