Copper jumps to $9,300

THE price of Copper on the London Metal Exchange (LME) has rebound to above $9,300 per tonne after a week of trading around $ 8,900. Metal price analysts keep on assuring that the ‘red metal’ may trend towards $10,000 per tonne before the end of next year. The price of copper rose above $9,700 due to a global shortage of the crucial metal.
Production was hit hard as Coronavirus cases continued to rise among mine workers in Chile, the world’s largest producer of metal which was essential in almost all electronic products and manufacturing.
