30,000 farmers to reap from livestock insurance project

A project aimed at enhancing and increasing access to high value and comprehensive agricultural insurance products for smallholder farmers has been launched, targeting over 30,000 farmers across Zambia.
This will also strengthen climate resilience and expand their production, particularly for those growing crops and keeping livestock.
Furthermore, once farmers insure their crops or livestock, it would protect them from financial loss arising from theft, disease and adverse effects of climate change.
