FIRST Quantum Minerals (FQM) says copper production guidance from its global units in 2022 has been lowered from between 790,000 and 855,000tonnes to between 755,000 and 785,000 tonnes.
This is mainly attributable to the lower production at Kansanshi mining plc in North-Western Province.
The firm has however recorded a total copper production increase for the third quarter of 2022 at 194,974 tonnes, an increase of 2,306tonnes from the second quarter of last year.
