VEDANTA Resources Limited has assured that bonuses for Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) workers will be paid once it takes full control of the mining giant.
Vedanta Resources Zambia director corporate communications Masuzyo Ndhlovu said the scheme of arrangement was a court approved agreement between the company and its creditors.
This also included the withdrawal of the provisional liquidator and reinstatement of the KCM board of management.
“Vedanta has not taken over the operations of KCM yet. This will only be done after the conclusion of the scheme of arrangement which was filed before court,” he said.
