THE issue of the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) – Value Added Tax (VAT) Rule Number 18 has been blown out of proportion, at the expense of other equally important matters.
Briefcase feels that enough has been heard from the opponents and proponents of this rule, which is a mere guideline on the refunding of VAT to exporters by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA).
Surely, enough has been said while the effects of continued withholding of the huge amounts of VAT from the mines and other exporters are biting.
2015 budget expectations rise
