ZAMBIA Rugby Union (ZRU) treasurer Kabwe Kampamba says he is not inspired to re-contest his position at the forthcoming extraordinary council meeting slated for November 1 at the Green Eagles rugby club in Kabwe.
Kampamba, who was elected during the elective annual general meeting (AGM) held in Kabwe this year, said in an interview yesterday that he was not motivated to re-contest his position owing to the divisions that engulfed the union.
He said having served for less than eight months, it was time for him to step aside and allow others to take over the mantle.
“Looking at what has been happening in the union with regards to the running of affairs, I am not inspired to stand in the coming elections and I would rather allow others to take over because I think harmony has been lacking.
