By FELIX MALUNGA –
WITH three tickets still on offer, the battle for survival in the 2014 MTN Premier Division League has reached the climax following the demotion of Roan United last Sunday.
After sending Roan down the drain, a rejuvenated Indeni will this afternoon be targeting the scalp Konkola Mine Police as the two relegation-threatened sides engage in a dogfight.
This Week 28 scrap for survival, which will be televised live on Supersport, will kick-off at lunchtime at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola where the loser will be inch closer to the exit door.
Indeni are third from the foot of the table on 27 points, two better than Mine Police.
In the other game in Chingola, hosts Nchanga Rangers will face Kabwe Warriors in a match the visitors will be desperate to win to avoid being caught up the relegation fights.
The rest of the Week 28 fixtures will be fulfilled tomorrow with the top four teams clashing.
Leaders Zesco United’s title credentials will come to the test when they host third-placed and title contenders, Zanaco at Trade Fair grounds in Ndola.
As Zesco and Zanaco face-off, second-placed Power Dynamos have a stern test against their sworn nemesis, Nkana in a hotly-contested Kitwe derby.
Only two points separate the top three teams.
