Ms Ngimbu said all those perpetrating the illegal allocation of land would be subjected to thorough investigations and once found wanting, appropriate action would be taken.
“I am aware that some employees at my ministry are engaged in the illegal allocation of land as well as corruption, now let me take this opportunity to sternly warn them that they risk losing their jobs once found wanting, Government has laid down procedure and I will ensure that the law is adhered to without any difficulties,” Ms Ngimbu said.
The Minister said this in an interview yesterday.
She extended her warning to all cadres in the country, saying her office would not consider one’s political affiliation but would ensure that the law applied to all those abrogating it.
She said cadres were some of the perpetrators of illegal land allocation and that the vice had to be abridged because it was costly and came with a lot of complications.
“As a country we need sanity where land acquisition is concerned, cadres are major perpetraitors of illegal land allocation, but to ensure that law and order is restored there will be nothing special as to who abrogates the law, regardles of one’s political party, the law shall be applied,” she said.
