Work hard, Kambwili tells civil servants

INFORMATION and Broadcasting Services Minister, Chishimba Kambwili has urged civil servants to understand Government projects for them to be able to explain their importance to  people at the grassroots.

Mr Kambwili has since urged Public Service workers to work extra hard to foster development in the country.
He said Government would not tolerate workers who did not work hard.
Mr Kambwili said civil servants were key in ensuring that developmental projects succeeded.
The minister who is in Eastern Province said this when he paid a courtesy call on deputy Permanent Secretary, Zechariah Luhanga in Chipata yesterday, adding  that civil servants must help the Government deliver on the massive projects being undertaken.
Mr Luhanga said Eastern Province was privileged to have a number of media houses.
He said Government was appreciative of the role the media was playing in the province in as far as information dissemination was concerned.
He also said journalists should always adhere to ethics when reporting.
Earlier, Mr Kambwili urged media houses in the country to uphold ethics as they strive to inform the citizenry.
Mr Kambwili who is also chief Government spokesperson urged journalists to always report accurately and avoid misleading the public.
Mr Kambwili said this when he toured Radio Explorer and Pasme Community Radio Station before holding a meeting with heads of Government departments in Petauke District.
