FORMER Times Printpak advertising manager Roy Bowton has commended the newspaper company for acquiring modern printing machinery to improve operations.
Mr Bowton, who visited the Times offices in Ndola yesterday and worked at for the institution from 1959 to 1972, said the newspaper had progressed and transformed over the years.
“The Times has progressed. I can see that you now have the modern printing press which is expensive, this is good,” he said.
Mr Bowton served in various capacities from advertising representative to advertising manager and worked for the company’s branches in Livingstone, Lusaka, Kitwe and Ndola.
He also worked as a compositor in the production department.
He is currently based in South Africa.
