DHL Express has urged supply chain operators to increase investment in transportation management systems and solutions to improve the quality of service in the region.
Vice-president of operations for DHL Express sub-Saharan Africa, Oliver Facey said supply chain operators should increasingly invest in transportation management systems and solutions to improve the quality, speed and precision of service.
This is according to a statement released by DHL marketing and communications manager, Southern Africa, Khanyi Mamba and made available to the Times in Lusaka yesterday.
Mr Facey said the rise of e-commerce and increased competition were driving the demand for real-time supply chain visibility.
He said the improvements would enhance customer experience and reduce operating costs and give operators a competitive advantage.
