JUSTIN Chipulu today puts his title on the line as he aims to defend his Mr Nchanga crown against 15 other musclemen during the contest billed for the Chingola Arts Society.
Chipulu’s bid for a second successive title will face stiff competition from experienced muscleman Fred Mulilo during the event that will see the top three performers clinching slots at the 2015 Mr Zambia competition scheduled for December.
The winner will walk away with a double door uptight fridge with the runner-up carrying home a 32-inch Samsung LED television set while the third place winner will get an LG home theatre sound system.
Other contestants likely to mount a strong title challenge are Abraham Ng’oma and Nictor Mwewa, both with considerable experience in the sport.
Meanwhile, Zambian champion Sylvester Mwila is set to defend his Southern Africa title next month at the 2015 edition of the regional contest billed for South Africa from October 16 to 17.
Mwila was crowned winner during the 2014 edition staged at Lusaka’s Pamozi Hotel, after he outclassed other contestants.
Zambia Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (ZBBFF) vice-president Brown Ng’ambi is upbeat that the current Mr Zambia will mount a spirited fight to retain the title.
“Mwila has been on top of his game and we are very confident that he will retain the title. Currently, he has been shaping up well for the tournament and he is ready to compete,” Ng’ambi said.
Mwila scooped silver at the Boksburg Classic competition that was staged in Johannesburg last month.
