PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has declared October 18, as a National Day of Prayer to be gazetted as a public holiday.
President Lungu said this at the Show Grounds in Lusaka yesterday as Zambians joined hands to commemorate the day of prayer.
“Let me, therefore take this opportunity to declare that this day, October 18, shall forthwith be reserved as a National Day of Prayer to be gazetted as a public holiday,” President Lungu said amid loud applause from the hundreds of people that gathered at the Show Grounds.
“I now declare that Zambia is set free from dark forces. I declare that Zambia is a blessed and prosperous nation”.
