PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has urged traditional leaders in the country to amicably resolve their differences and help to promote peace and unity among their subjects.
President Lungu also commended Chieftainess Nkomeshya Mukamambo II of the Soli people of Chongwe District for maintaining harmony in her chiefdom.
The Head of State was speaking at State House on Friday when he received a report from a committee instituted to look into wrangles between Senior Chief Ishindi and Senior Chief Ndungu of North-Western Province.
President Lungu’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda said the Head State assured that he would consider the report accordingly.
Committee chairperson Chief Madzimawe of the Ngoni people in Eastern Province presented the report to President Lungu.
Chief Madzimawe was accompanied by Chieftainess Nkomeshya Mukamambo II, Chieftainess Chiawa of the Goba people, Senior Chief Kasempa and Chieftainess Muwezwa.
Others were Chief Macha of the Tonga people and Chief Chamuka of the Lenje people as well as committee members. -ZNBC
