CHAINAMA golfer Chama Kalinde at the weekend won the Zambia National Service (ZNS) Golf-Day tournament after carding an impressive 39 points.
It was double joy for Kalinde, who apart from playing at his home golf club, is also a ZNS employee.
The motivation saw him take the title in a distant first position and left the rest of the field in his wake.
This one-day tournament saw Joseph Mwanza take second place after he brought 36 points.
Mwanza needed a count back to take the second position after he had been tied on 36 points with two other players in Kekelwa Kulombotwa and former ZNS commandant Raphael Chisheta.
In a special award named ‘Invested Guests Award’, Luckson Mwiya finished at the top with a score of 39 points which left Chainama Golf Club captain Killian Mwela in second with 37 points.
Bruce Chinungi’s 36 points were enough to give him the third slot.
In the subsidiary awards, the longest drive in the men’s category went to Neils Malaya while Lorna Mwenda scooped the same award in the ladies category.
