BRIEF-CASEBRIEFCASE has noted a shortage of kerosene (lamp oil) in Ndola.
Most filling stations in the city have not had kerosene for the past five days.
The shortage has led to vendors buying in bulk and later increase the price of the commodity due to high demand.
Vendors at Masala Market are selling a litre of kerosene at more than K10 instead of K6.

There is need for Government to continue encouraging formation of cooperatives among small-scale entrepreneurs.
Briefcase has noted that incentives such as loans given to marketeers on the Copperbelt would result in meaningful benefits if entrepreneurs formed cooperatives.
It is, therefore, important that the Government facilitates training to increase awareness on how profits can be used to sustain profitability.
