THE Zambia Tennis Association (ZTA) intends to come up with three leagues in a bid to develop and strengthen the sport at the grassroots level.
ZTA vice-president (South) Crispin Moyo said in an interview at the weekend that the association would come up with a seniors, schools and college leagues.
Moyo expressed confidence that coming up with these leagues would not only help develop and strengthen the sport but would equally keep players fit ahead of the various international engagements.
He said the league would start in April when the rainy season comes to an end and would begin with the Midlands which would have four teams, including one from Kabwe while the other three would be Lusaka-based.
Moyo, however, said that the association was yet to select which schools and colleges would take part in the respective leagues.
