THE people of Luangeni Constituency will vote for the political party which has brought development, area Member of Parliament, Charles Zulu has said.
Mr Zulu, who is Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Development, said yesterday in Chipata that the people of Luangeni had already voted for the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) party because of so many developmental projects the Government had fostered in the area.
He said from 2011 to date, several developmental projects had been carried out in Luangeni by the Government.
“At least for four years the PF has been in power, people have seen what the ruling party has taken in Luangeni Constituency. So because of what has transpired in Luangeni, the people have already voted for the party in power, ’’Mr Zulu said.
He said power had been connected at Maguya, Jerusalem, Mtande Nsanjika and Katandala among other developmental projects by the PF Government.
He predicted that a victory was certain for him and the party in power in the August 11 general elections.
Mr Zulu said he was not fighting for popularity as he was a servant of the electorate.
He said the people of Luangeni must not be swayed by doomsayers who were going round deceiving people with salt, fertiliser, salaula and chickens.
