A COMBINED team of Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) and Competition and Consumer Protection Commission inspectors has seized expired products worth K826 from SPM investments in Solwezi.
ZABS has since served a product rejection notice to SPM investments, a shop in Mushitala area of Solwezi for selling expired products.
ZABS head of marketing and public relations Hazel Zulu said the products that had been rejected and confiscated included carbonated drinks such as Coke Zero, Fanta, Havana Cola, Mirinda, Pepsi Cola and 7Up.
Others were low fat and medium fat Blue Band margarine, Just Juice fruit flavoured drinks and Heineken beer.
This was contained in a statement released in Lusaka yesterday and made available to the Times of Zambia.
