TIMES Printpak Zambia Limited and MTN Zambia have engaged in talks to forge a partnership in various areas for the mutual benefit of both parties.
Times Printpak managing director Bestone Ng’onga yesterday led a company delegation comprising sales and marketing manager Mark Nyasulu, advertising manager Constance Mbewe and Business Editor James Muyanwa at the MTN Zambia head office in Lusaka to kick-start the impending partnership.
Times Printpak seeks to partner with MTN Zambia in e-times, Mobile Money, fast fixed internet connectivity, vehicle tracking, corporate account creation, distribution of the newspaper, data storage and sponsorship of newspaper pages like business and sports, among other areas.
Mr Ng’onga acknowledged that MTN Zambia was a “giant” mobile service provider whose services were commendable and thus Times Printpak was eager to partner with the telecommunications firm.
“If we partnered with you, we could actually give an opportunity to communicate with your people (subscribers) in terms of all the things that you are doing.
“Looking at all the things that you are doing, which are very good and commendable, we can also come in, partner with you and help promote your organisation through the dissemination of information to the public,” he said.
MTN Zambia chief executive officer Charles Molapisi said he had taken note of Mr Ng’onga’s areas of interest and pledged to engage his team to chart the way forward in areas  that the two firms could partner in.
Both parties thereafter toured the MTN Zambia network operating centre and customer service centre.
MTN Zambia currently has close to 5.3 million subscribers countrywide and has its presence in 22 countries in Africa and the Middle East.
