ANTELOPE Milling Company has plans to construct a shopping mall at the Kasumbalesa border in Chililabombwe to serve the growing population and create more jobs on the Copperbelt.
Company director of finance John Chilembo said that the company had embarked on diversifying its operations in a bid to create jobs for the locals.
Mr Chilembo said during a chief executive officers (CEOs) meeting ahead of the Labour Day celebrations in Ndola that the company was planning to construct a shopping mall at the border area.
He said the company was currently sourcing for land for the construction of the first ever shopping mall at the border area.
Mr Chilembo also said Antelope milling had acquired land in Lufwanyama for the construction of a ware house which would be used for buying and storing maize from farmers.
“The company is investing in projects that would create jobs for the locals, we have increased the number of selling outlets by 30 percent, we want to make our products available to everyone,” he said.
The Luanshya based company is a manufacturer and distributor of maize and wheat finished products such as mealie- meal and flour.
Mr Chilembo further said that the company would continue with its Corporate Social Responsibility programs in areas of operation.
