Breaking Barriers LOGOTHERE is no doubt that when you discover your purpose, it will be easier for you to endure the rigors required to make it in your calling or vocation!
When it comes to riches and success, doing what you love most plays a pivotal role. If you hate your job, I assure you that you will NEVER excel in it!
Indeed if waking up to go to work is a drag, and setting up to commence is a millstone, you are surely headed for a downsising or a dismissal because in case you did not realise, attitude is an outward manifestation of your inner-self and state of emotions.
Have you noticed that attitude and doing what you love most are related?
The definition of torture is waking up every day to go to a job you hate, with customers you cannot stand, a salary that is absolutely lousy and a boss that’s an absolute prick in the middle of your back!
So many people are prisoners of their own device. They have allowed two types of fears to keep them locked in forever, the first being the fear of the unknown and the second being the fear of failure!
There once was a man who dreamt that he died and went to heaven.
When he reached there,  he met Jesus and the Lord took him on a journey to the storerooms of limbo. He asked “what are the storerooms of limbo?”
Jesus answered, “This is where people store up all the experiences they go through in life.” “Really?” asked the man inquisitively, then as an afterthought added, “I would love to see these storerooms” at which Jesus said, “most certainly!”
What greeted him were rooms filled to the brim with half completed items, junk and chaos.
Most rooms were old, wretched looking and very disorganised. In utter amazement the man asked, “Why so much clutter and junk?”
Jesus answered, “Most people live their lives full of unaccomplished  tasks and opportunities!
They start off with clean and empty rooms as  babies but as time goes, they get clutter that never gets sorted out or finished! Many will carry these loads all their lives!”
How many uncompleted tasks, dreams, visions and plans do we go with to our graves! Let’s examine some facts about our subject today.
1. Effectiveness is achieved when you do what comes naturally.
Doing what comes naturally has some great bonuses,  the greatest being that you can work all day, all night, through holidays and normal days as time has no meaning at all.
I have watched different kinds of artists at work and one common thread you will find in them all is the ability to stay focused and do their work for hours, even days at a time!
2. Find your vocation, call, gift, ability or hobby and make that your core activity that can somehow generate revenue for you.
Within every vision are seeds of provision. If you listen to your heart, take your gift or calling, create value from it and give that value to your community, you will make money.
One of my favourite equations is this one: Value = Income. All income comes as a result of an exchange of value.
What is value? It is the worthiness of something.
How much is something worth to someone? If the value you bring on the table is high, you will be paid more, if not, you won’t be paid.
3. It is easy to persevere, in spite of no moneys, setbacks. There is no “sweet” without “sweat”!
The law of entropy states, “all things move from a state of order to a state of disorder unless acted on deliberately by an outward force”.
Nature will oppose you. All outside you and within you will fight to stop you from succeeding!
You will need to have the resolution to stay the course and put in all you have in spite of not having money for a long time!
The common paradigm is one where people work for earned income.
This means they work and then get paid. If they do not work, they do not get paid.
This viewpoint is  what has made the majority work in jobs they hate for all their lives to keep making money for subsistence.
True wealth comes not from earned income but from passive income. This comes from assets.
Your gift, ability, skill, vision is your greatest asset given you by God and it is your key to all your joy and satisfaction in life! Find it, hone it, utilise it or end up losing it!
4. The quality of your results will be superior hence you keep at it.
True greatness requires hours, weeks, months or even years of practice and repetition until you become absolutely refined at what you do!
Here’s a crude example… What is the difference between Collins Mbesuma and the legendary Pele of Brazil?
Well, one is an extremely talented soccer player and the other was an absolutely refined genius soccer player!
The difference? Discipline, hard work, commitment, consistency and value! You always get back what you put in!
The legendary Pele practiced seven hours a day without relenting even when he had no name or fortune to his name!
Even when he became great, honour, values and glory drove and determined his career choices, not money!
From all the above one truth glaringly stands out, if you are in business simply for the sake of business, you may excel for a season and a time, but true legendary status will only happen when you find that one thing that you can do better than the rest, work on it, develop and harness it and then give it to the world!
If you do this right, not only will you make millions and retire rich for life, but you will create and leave a legacy!
It is legacies that shape nations! Harness that gift!
