Zambia, India partner to promote tourism

ZAMBIA and India have embarked on joint efforts to promote tourism and raise its contribution to economic growth in the two countries.
Tourism Permanent Secretary Evans Muhanga said both governments were wholly committed to tapping into each other’s tourism markets to enhance the growth of the industry.
Mr Muhanga said this during a tourism promotion outreach programme organised by the Indian embassy in Lusaka.
“Tourism plays an important role not only in enhancing the two countries’ bilateral relations but also in generating business opportunities and employment creation,” he said.
