By MOSES CHIMFWEMBE –

MBABANE Swallows coach, Nyangu Hlophe has told Nkana to underrate his side at their own peril when the two sides clash in the Orange 2014 CAF Champions League preliminary round clash next month.

Nkana are making a return to continental football for the first time in 12 years and their first test would be on February 9 in the mountain kingdom of Swaziland before hosting Swallows in a return leg two weeks later in Kitwe.

Hlophe said in an interview from Mbabane yesterday that Nkana was a team of a high pedigree in Zambia but that his charges were capable of pulling a shock result in both legs.

He said Swallows were aiming high in the competition and that underrating the team was a bonus for them to step up preparations.

The Swallows coach said he would leave no stone unturned in the team’s preparations adding that the players were shaping up well in the build up to the match.

He, however, said his game plan would be unveiled on the match day and that his team was adequately prepared to do battle against the 12 time Zambian league champions.

“We are not taking things lightly, our focus is to win because we know that we are capable to go far in this competition and no one should underrate our potential,” he said.

The winner of this tie will face either Sudanese giants El Merreikh or Kampala City Council of Uganda in the first round.
