CHIPOLOPOLO striker Collins Mbesuma is overwhelmed with the warm reception accorded to him by soccer fans during the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group E qualifier against Kenya and the Gabon friendly match.
Mbesuma thanked the Zambian fans for the support they have been giving him from the time he started his football career.

The South Africa-based player said the love and prayers from the Zambians had motivated him to work even harder.
Mbesuma, the Mpumalanga Black Aces striker, promised to be at his best and never to disappoint the country.
“I would like to thank all of my supporters from day one until today, I promise never to disappoint you, your prayers and love always lift me up. I thank God for you and God bless you all. One love king David,” Mbesuma posted on his facebook page.
Mbesuma scored the winning goal in Kenya from a Winston Kalengo assist and contributed to the first goal in the 2-1 victory at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
The burly striker also starred in Zambia’s 1-1 draw with Gabon on Tuesday evening at the Heroes National Stadium in Lusaka.
Mbesuma’s performance in both games won him praises from coach George Lwandamina and Sports Minister Vincent Mwale.
The Kenya qualifier was the first game Mbesuma featured for the national team this year, having been left out for the 2015 Equatorial Guinea Afcon and many other international friendliess.
